Boro 4-5 Sheffield
Sunday, 4th May 2008
Boro Futsal lost their third succesive league game to leave their hopes of reaching the playoffs hanging by a thread.
Missing four of the more experienced players, Middlesbrough faced a difficult task but a well disciplined team performance saw boro go in 3-2 at the break and a positive result against the odds was certainly on the cards.

End of an Era

University of Teesside Futsal Club failed to defend their title of British Champions at the weekend (Sunday 27th April), going out to hosts and eventual winners Loughborough University in a tight semi final.
Teesside’s rise to premonition reached a high this season with all of the 1st team squad playing for Middlesbrough Futsal Club in the FA Futsal League and making a flying start beating Leeds and Grimsby in the opening two games. The Teessiders were confident of retaining the BUSA Championship, yet form for Boro has been somewhat poor in recent weeks, dropping to 5th in the FA Futsal League North.

Hull 5-4 Boro
Monday, 7th April 2008
Middlesbrough tasted their first competitive defeat since the FA Futsal Cup in July, slipping to a 5-4 defeat away against Hull. Ironically, Boro’s only defeat in last year’s FPL (Futsal Premier League: Unofficial national league), was against Hull and history repeated itself in Sheffield at the weekend.
Hull were bottom of the FA Futsal League North before the match, while Boro were sitting top of the pile after two games. Hull had tasted defeat to two early favourites, Manchester and Tranmere Victoria so weren’t to be underestimated as they tried to kick start their season at home to another title contender.

Boro vs. Hull: Preview
Sunday, 6th April 2008
Top take on bottom today in the FA Futsal League North and both teams are looking for a vital win. Boro are hoping to go three points clear today (Tranmere don't play until next weekend against Manchester), at least for a couple of hours before Sheffield take on Grimsby.
A Grimsby win, coupled with a Boro win will leave the Teessiders three points clear at the top, a welcome cushion at this stage of the season.

Dell stands down
By Graeme Dell. Tuesday, 25 March 2008.
It’s been an emotional and challenging fortnight since I last wrote and it’s with a heavy-heart that this will be my last column as England Head Coach.
The decision to step down from my position as Head Coach of the England Futsal team, with immediate effect, hasn’t been an easy one but is for some very personal reasons.
